It was so lovely to welcome back some of our class this week. It has been great to get to know our Reception Pupils. We are all very excited to meet our Nursery children next week as we have daily visits so they can meet and get to know all of the children and staff.
Thank you so much for returning the "Get to Know you Bags" the children enjoyed sharing them with us we learned about favourite, toys , books , foods , pets and colours it certainly helped us learn a little bit more about the children.
We have had lots of fun this week getting to know our way around the new classroom and all the different areas.
The children have come up with some brilliant ideas for our topic work on Towers, Turrets and Tunnels.
They have already made a start on creating a castle .
Please see letter attached with some information that may be useful. I know we will have a fantastic year in Dosbarth Coch learning and having fun.
Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at school

Week Beginning Monday September 7th
How lovely this week to get to meet the rest of Dosbarth Coch. We have been talking about our feelings and read the story of The Colour Monster.
All of the class have been getting to know each other and the routines and rules of the classroom.
The children have really enjoyed learning inside and outside of the classroom.
A busy week in Dosbarth Coch
Week Beginning Monday September 14th
This week all of Dosbarth Coch have been in school. We have been learning about our names and how to recognise and write them. We have been practising our letter formation and skills to help us improve our fine motor skills.
We have also been recognising numbers and counting in 1s, 5s and 10s. Some of us have visited Forest School this week and made Forest Crowns.
On Friday we had great fun in the car wash using different movements to wash and clean the cars.
In RE we have been talking about how much God loves us and he knows us each by our names.
Such as busy week in class.
Thanks for all your support.
Monday September 21st
This week Dosabarth Coch have been showing myself and all the staff how clever they are. We have been doing lots of work on counting forwards and backwards and recognising numbers. The children have been printing and cutting with 2D shapes
We have also been talking about our families and friends. Making lists of who might live in different types of houses. We had great fun using our mini-mes to help us learn about positional language.
Dosbarth Coch have produced some great homework already linked to their names and colours.
Another busy week see you all Tuesday.
