Visions Week and Harvest!

The children spent the first week in October focusing on our school vision 'Faith, Action, Success!'. The children learnt about how to use our shared vision in their everyday lives. We used this in our Harvest performance for the parents and guardians.

How do we know we are in a faith school?

As part of our vision week celebrations, the children had to explore our school and investigate what they can see that shows us we are in a faith school.

Measuring Length

The children were incredibly excited to be drawing on the tables this week. The children had to draw lines of varying lengths, and then accurately measure them using a ruler.

First Homework Review!

As part of our weekly schedule, we have homework review of the previous week's homework on a Friday. Our first homework this year was to interview an adult that we know about their career, to further inform our topic. We then discussed what we found out with our peers.

Book Reviews!

We have been practicing writing longer pieces of work, and as part of this, have been writing book reviews. The children enjoyed reading and have learnt that it is important for them to have informed opinions.

We had a great day during 'Show Racism the Red Card' day, celebrating what makes us different, and how to support all of our friends so we can all live, play and learn together.

We had the chance to meet our new school dog, Presley! We look forward to spending more time with you soon!
