The Wednesday Word is run by Mrs Williams sharing Sundays Gospel during a Wednesday lunch time in the school chapel, sharing and celebrating Gods word.
This week's Wednesday Word is TEACHER. We thought about this week's gospel and thanked God for the teachers in our lives. Year 3 then used their sheets to help support our RE work on Ordinary Time.
It was wonderful to see so many faces in the chapel yesterday as we restarted our Wednesday Word sessions, sharing the gospel and looking at making a New Start.
Our Wednesday Word this week is ENCOURAGEMENT
We've looked at the story of Jesus' transfiguration, how that gave Him encouragement and His disciples too.
"With God we can do great things. Jesus is always ready to encourage and support us."
Our Wednesday Word group took home the Good News for half term, ready to look ahead to the story of Jesus in the wilderness.
This week's word is LENT.
Pope Francis said, "Lent is a time for drawing near to Christ by listening to the Word of God and celebrating the sacraments."
Wednesday Word this week was LOVE and it was lovely to see new faces come in to our session in the chapel, as some of our Y4 pupils who are preparing for first Holy Communion decided to join us.
This week's Wednesday Word is Goodness. We are like lights shining for the world to see and will be trying to share our goodness with everyone.
