Home learning support

This guide outlines how St Michael's can help, support and provide distance learning for our pupils during the school closure due to the extreme circumstance.

Each pupil has received a home learning pack. Each pack contains a range of paper based activities and online platform details. Pupils can complete activities from their homework menu using pencil and paper, complete activities practically or use the  online platforms provided. Please use what your child feels happy and comfortable with.

We want all our pupils to have fun and be happy. Their well-being is paramount during this time.  There is no pressure to complete all tasks and upload work. Seesaw is only there for pupils to access the homework menu, use the tools such as drawing and notes or if parents choose their pupils can share their activities and pictures with staff but this is an option.

We have provided pupils with links to various online platforms for them to access home learning when they can. We would also like to encourage our pupils to take care, stay safe, enjoy time at home and have fun with family members.

Online Learning Platforms

These platforms have been provided for pupils depending on their age. All pupils have access to some of the platforms below. Please do not feel pressure to use these platform. As a school we wanted to provide them to pupils to use if they wish. Please follow the links below to access support videos.

Seesaw can be used for pupils to play and access any online games and activities that the class teacher has uploaded.

If parents wish, pupils can also share with us some of the work they have done from their homework menus but this is not essential. For our older pupils they can also complete their activities using the draw or notes section of seesaw if they wish.
