Blwyddyn Pedwar celebrated our patron Saint by coming into school in traditional Welsh costumes or the colour red. We started off our celebrations with a special mass by Pastor Gareth and finished it with lots of fun.
Pastor Gareth visited each class to celebrate Ash Wednesday and we all received ashes on our foreheads. Blwyddyn Pedwar showed great engagement and had a lovely discussion about this important day.
We were all so excited for our yearly Eisteddfod. We have been working so hard in class on the Art and Handwriting Competition; pupils were tasked with a DT Competition as homework and the entries were amazing. Also, each house has been working on a song and poem to perform in front of the school.
Take a look at more of the fantastic work completed; they all made it a difficult competition to judge and I was so proud of the hard work they put in. Da iawn pawb!
Who doesn't love a good book? It was amazing to see the fantastic costumes that Blwyddyn Pedwar wore to school for World Book Day; it just goes to show the Power of Reading!
We had wizards, singers, footballers, princesses, SpongeBob and so many more!
For Science week, we went out into our Forest School Area and planted our very own tomato seeds. It was a fiddly task as the seeds were so small, but all pupils showed a growth mindset and worked hard.
Let's see how well they grow. Fingers crossed we remember to water them and give it as much sunlight as Wales will let us!
Thank you Pastor Gareth for a wonderful mass on Monday. Pupils were respectful and engaged; singing along and joining in with the service. A super proud teacher!
