This week we looked at the book:
'Dyn Ni yn Mynd i Hela Arth
We identified key vocabulary together and compared the Welsh version to the English version.
As a class, we looked at ‘The Transfiguration’ where Jesus spoke to Elijah and Moses on Mount Tabor, as three of the disciples watched in amazement.
Pupils were able to create their own light catchers to represent this miraculous event.
We investigated 3D shapes in our learning environment.
Pupils worked in groups to find an item, tell me what 3D shape it was and how they knew it was that shape.
We had a fantastic session looking at angles this morning. A new skill for lots of Dosbarth Porffor but we developed our understanding of using a protractor.
As a class, we identified six different types of angles to help support our knowledge.
Test us to see what we can remember!
We challenged ourselves to learn a song in Sign Language after our BSL lesson this week.
We hope you enjoy a clip of Dosbarth Porffor’s performance (I wish I could have posted more)
We were so excited to start our science task this week! We focused on recycling, by reusing our scrap paper to create our own paper to be used again. The paper includes our spellings, our workings outs, our ideas and our general learning notes - our class history.
Our first step was to prep by ripping up paper and putting it into a container of water to sit for at least 12 hours!!!
Next we made our pulp. Everyone had a cup of wet paper and had to smush it and squash it. Lots of funny faces for this part!!
We had to mix our pulp with fresh water and then we could use our mould and deckle to start forming our paper.
We had lots of fun and showed great enthusiasm for the task. We tried something new and hopefully it works out 🤞🏼
Diolch yn fawr i USW! What a fantastic morning of football skills. Pupils showed great effort and enthusiasm, having a go at different games! Hopefully, we can take those skills into practice!
What a fantastic and productive Friday afternoon we had!
Pupils had the opportunity to complete their Eisteddfod Art entry and then complete one of our six missions.
