EISTEDDFOD 2025
What a fantastic day of Welsh celebrations! All pupils worked so hard and they made it a difficult day to judge. I hope they all had lots of fun and enjoyed every aspect of it.
We decided to have our own Eisteddfod Competition in class. As pupils will be writing a poem to be crowned the Bardd next year, we thought it would be a good experience to have a go at writing one this year! Pupils did a fantastic job and really impressed me with their ideas.
Thank you Mr Davies for the photos!
One of our missions is focusing on hopefulness and faithfulness. So we went to Blwyddyn Pedwar and interviewed them! We love working with other classes.
Thank you Mr Williams, Miss Jayne and Blwyddyn Pedwar for having us!
We started our walk for Lent with Year 2. We had a lovely walk of the KS2 school yard and even managed to rope Year 4 in as well.
It was so lovely to see the Year 5’s chatting away with the younger pupils and seeing smiley faces!
What a fun lesson on measure. We created our own designs using different sized strips of paper. Some pupils even looked at the angles in their design. Dosbarth Porffor were able to build on skills by being more precise and hopefully feel more confident.
In Dosbarth Porffor, we discussed animal adaptations and natural selection: Charles Darwin’s theory otherwise known as survival of the fittest.
Pupils showed great engagement and were tasked with adapting a butterfly to the habitat of our classroom.
The results were fantastic! Can you spot the butterflies in the habitat of the Year 5 classroom and learning areas?
